I have a sneaking suspicion that if the SC invalidates the #IEEFA tariffs, they’re going to do it with a “water under the bridge” approach and somehow structure the strike down in a way that avoids refunds.

The actual amount of #IEEFA tariffs likely to be refunded, in the event of a full reversal: $115b to $145b, says a Goldman estimate.

I wish someone had asked Johnson under what circumstance he would have cited Article I and told the WH to step back.
