To wit: Power generating (nuke/hydro/fossil fuels/etc) can be turned down-to-off when not needed. Then brought online as needed. The city I'm in electric bill (ENTIRE CITY in most months) is the absolute minimum $$$ payment = Common Sense.

I would like to see that.

If a police officer - this is kind of #America specific - kills someone, the family of that person can claim a portion of that police officers pension and/or salary. Regardless of why the person was killed...

There's that too. The whole abuse-to-crime pipeline is super fun. It gets particularly dark when you have states where they offer people the chance to join the military instead of going to prison.
