La Policía Nacional adquiere 10 unidades del Ineos Grenadier para las Unidades de Intervención Policial La Policía Nacional ha incorporado 10 todoterrenos Ineos Grenadier en configuración Utility Wagon de cinco asientos, destinados específicamente a las Unidades de Intervención Policial (UIP). Estos vehículos, de origen británico y diseñados para un uso intensivo off-road, cuentan con chasis de largueros, suspensiones robustas y un motor BMW de seis cilindros (en versión diésel de 249 CV y 550 Nm o gasolina de 286 CV). La compra se ha confirmado oficialmente a través de la cuenta @policia en X, tras rumores en foros y redes sociales. El precio base por unidad es de 73.243 euros, pero con los extras añadidos para potenciar sus capacidades todoterreno —como neumáticos BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A (sobrecoste de 1.275 euros por vehículo), cabestrante de 5,5 toneladas, deslizadores de roca, escalera de acceso, reductora, bloqueo de diferencial central y otros elementos como cristales tintados o bola de remolque— el coste total aproximado ronda los 900.000 a 1 millón de euros para las 10 unidades. El vehículo destaca por su enfoque clásico en el 4x4 puro, con caja automática ZF de 8 marchas, faros LED y asientos Recaro de serie. Aunque no ha habido comunicación inicial del Ministerio del Interior, la adquisición se justifica por las necesidades operativas de la UIP en terrenos difíciles. Este movimiento se enmarca en la renovación de flota policial, similar a otras compras recientes en cuerpos de seguridad.
