PSA to y'all #IRC users: the latest release of #Halloy supports more #IRCv3 specs! Including `typing` (now on @liberachat too), and `+draft/react` & `draft/multiline` on servers that support (ergo.chat) them!
It's been very pleasant to use Halloy for IRC, so many nice quality-of-life features 🫶 […]
Has anyone out there managed to get mobile app push notifications working with Ergo IRCd and the Goguma client? I'm finding the operational documentation to be pretty thin (which, to be fair, is in line with a feature still marked as being experimental).

This actually looks somewhat intriguing.
I wish I had resources/time to dedicate to this, but at least I can follow along.

I'm a member of a local dev community in Denmark. We use Slack; and the community experience has been slowly getting worse.
So, I decided to see if I could recreate the core Slack experience in #HyggeChat on top of #IRCv3 (chat server).
Exciting so far!
Why don't we use HTTP/1's `Upgrade` mechanism to switch from #HTTP to another protocol like #SMTP or #IRC? Especially IRC, the only HTTP Upgrade related in #IRCv3 is #WebSockets. Why not do direct IRC for fun? I mean one of the examples in RFC 2616 section 14.42 is `IRC/6.9`! :satrithink:
