I’ll be Birmingham International after 10am. Then a quick dash over to the Hilton for my 10:30 game. I’m Refereeing my Starfleet Academy game. Usually 4hr got to cram it into 3. less. cos I’m on a panel about Games Workshop at 1:30pm.

Last day at #Iridescence EasterCon 2026. Great fun overall; got to meet some very nice people. And the publisher @guardbridgebooks.bsky.social sold out the prerelease copies of A Basquet of Cats yesterday! :-)

I also got into the 14:30 scheduled TTRPG game. The Elephant and Macaw Banner. A Brazilian game based on Brazilian author set in Brazil in the 17th century.
it had deep lore. Deep, deep lore. Deep. Oh so deep. The lore was deep.
Possibly too deep for a 3hr con game.

So i guess it’s sit in the games room - not open yet, I’m squatting outside - and trying to push my 1hr games.

The surviving in a cartoon world was an excuse for and academic to show off cool science experiments. Worked fine.
Then a game of Pirate Borg. 4 players - 2 teenage girls and 2 grogs. Was fine. Most coherent game so far.

I played in a game of MORK ORG a derivative based in office politics. Written by the same guy that did the panel last night. More Silly Tie type stuff. The whole set-up starts gonzo. 6 players. I tried to stay quiet to give him an cnance of managing everything. That seemed to work. 1/x

My shoulder bag (20 years of Furnace) was a bit heavy yesterday so I’d decided to bring my wheely suitcase today and all the games I could offer.
Then I realised it looks like no-one’s going to sign up ad hoc for any of my games so instead I’ve stripped back what I’m carrying.

Just had a chat with a passerby who saw my set-up. He hasn’t role-played in many years. Doesn’t have the time. I sweet talked him about me being able to bang though an unforgettable adventure in under an hour. He may come back at some point during the weekend.
