At a maximum security prison, District Attorney Allison Munroe and lawyer Henry Price Claringer are paying a visit to the U-Foes who have been imprisoned since their failed attempt to murder Bruce Banner on live television.
The situation turns ugly, when Allison reaches out to hand over paperwork, breaching the nullifier and deactivating it.
The U-Foes quickly attack the guards before it can reactivated.
Vector uses his ability to control the velocity of objects around him to pin the guards and the lawyers against a wall.
As a result, he repels the very molecules and reality around them, which causes the U-Foes to disappear.
Meanwhile, in the Crossroads dimension, the Hulk is starving as he has not found a suitable world that has food he can eat.
The Hulk has retreated to the signpost, motionless.
At the constant urging of the Puffball Collective, he soon finds himself on an alien world filled with strange vegetation.
The Hulk spots a humanoid creature eating from one of the plants.
Deciding its safe, the Hulk also gorges on the plants as well.
The creature starts fishing out of a pond.
He tosses the Hulk a fish, a show of friendship.
The pair then spend all their time together.
Although the Hulk doesn't understand his words, the alien introduces himself as Zgorian.
A ship carrying members of Zgorian's race appears in the sky.
Their leader, the Magistrate, tells Zgorian that for the crime of showing compassion to others, he is to be put to death.
When the Hulk tries to stop them from killing his friend, he is incapacitated.
As the Hulk watches in horror, the Magistrate and his men execute Zgorian for his crimes.
A heartbroken Hulk would then return to the Crossroads, only to be met by the U-Foes!

The Hulk has been forced into being a member aboard the crew of the Andromeda in their obsession to hunt and kill the massive energy creature known as Klaatu.
Having passed through the Crossroads dimension into another realm, the Hulk's companion, the Puffball Collective, has been left behind thanks to a barrier that prevents it from travelling to other worlds. This sudden abandonment causes the mindless Hulk to go on a rampage aboard the Andromeda.
Thanks to the Hulk's rampage, Xeron's off his mark with the laser harpoon, and Klaatu teleports away. Furious, Captain Cybor orders his men to pilot the Andromeda back to the Crossroads and continue hunting Klaatu.
When they return to the Crossroads, to calm the Hulk, Xeron encases the Puffball Collective in a shield before continuing their hunt for Klaatu.
When they pass through another portal to an alien world, the shield is sufficient to prevent the Puffball Collective from being forced to stay behind, much to the delight of the Hulk.
For the first time in a while, the Hulk speaks, verbally referring to the Collective as his friend.
Eventually, the Andromeda catches up with Klaatu and Xeron manages to latch onto the beast with three laser harpoons.
Klaatu tries to escape by teleporting between dimensions, but because of the laser harpoons, Klaatu taking the Andromeda with him.
On a desert world, Klaatu allows the Andromeda to get closer.
Seeing how pitiful Klaatu looks, the Hulk severs the laser harpoon, freeing Klaatu!
Finally free, Klaatu restores the Hulk's strength before teleporting away.
The Puffball Collective convinces the Hulk to activate the failsafe spell to return them to the Crossroads.

LIFE IS A FOUR-LETTER WORD!
Creative Team: Bill Mantlo, Mike Mignola, Gerry Talaoc, Bob Sharen, Jim Novak, Pat Blevins and Carl Potts.

Bruce Banner finds himself about to be sacrificed on an alter by an orange-skinned woman he tried to rescue as the Hulk.
Bruce is confused as his last memories were of how Nightmare made the Hulk go savage in the hopes of slaying his foe Dr Strange.
This battle ended with Banner committing psychic suicide as he no longer wished to live a shared existence with the Hulk. Accepting his impending death, Banner closes his eyes and prepares for the end.
Suddenly, the sacrifice is stopped by Dr. Daniel DeCyst, the man who is in charge of the skeletal warriors.
Ordering the savage woman to stand down, DeCyst is delighted to see another human on this world and frees Banner.
Dr. DeCyst then takes Banner up to another room where a number of the native of this world are strung up from the ceiling and are being slowly exsanguinated.
Banner finds this mad, but when he tries to attack DeCyst, the elderly alchemist pulls a flintlock pistol.
Banner then tries to get away.
While DeCyst is distracted, the savage woman who would have been sacrificed manages to get up behind him and stab him through the heart.
With danger all around, Bruce wills himself to transform into the Hulk who is joined by the Triad. As the Hulk battles DeCyst's demonic hordes, the Triad fear that he will fall in battle.
In order to make the Hulk see reason, Guardian fires an arrow into the Hulk's brow.
This makes the Hulk realise that the woman he came to save doesn't need his help anymore.
The Hulk then triggers the failsafe spell that transports him and the Triad back to the Crossroads.
