This Manta Ray Unit from Thunderbolt 2.0 is huge as fuccckkkkkk. Spent 1 day to build the main body. And another 1 day for the weapons, shield, backpack which can be combine into this humongous mehcanical creature.

Finished project! In Era Trailblazer! Man this project was a journey! Loved how it pushed me in new ways, really enjoyed coloring all the small details, even if they will almost never be noticed. It’s not a perfect kit, it has some issues, but man, can’t deny the presence!

WIP update. Yes this kit is taking my longer than normal but I sure am enjoying the journey. In Era didn’t have to go as hard as they did with the details, but I’m glad they did! This is just the under skirt parts on the waist! Had fun with the colors.

WIP Update. The Trailblazer backpack is complete! This thing is HUGE, unwieldy, gangly, gnarly, and amazing all rolled into one! This kit has pushed me and I can see I’m improving on some techniques, but still need to work on others.

Just finished Thunderbolt V1. Loved the whole build and would definitely recommend it. The backpack was a bit tedious but worth it (took a few liberties with it as well). By far one of the best builds I have done to date.

The body is done! Just the backpack, weapons and base need to be done.
This has been my favorite 3rd party build so far. The instructions were very easy to follow, the runner layout is pretty nice, and very few fitting issues.
