As much as I'm sick of AI being put on a pedestal like a holy grail and getting shoved in where it doesn't belong, the no-AI-whatsoever crowd is just as moronic as the tech bros claiming it's the second coming of Christ At this point, the guys at Indie Awards should look in the mirror and think if such ruleset is appropriate or if they're just doing a holier-than-thou virtue signaling After all, where do you draw the line? If using AI for early placeholder assets is a no-no, what about if a dev uses Copilot to draft an answer to a mail? What if it writes his notes during a meeting? Because that is also a part of the gamemaking process. By this logic they will soon enough run out of games that would be eligible for their awards in the first place lol

Against my better judgement I will now speak my mind on the internet, brace with me.
(Thankfully it's just videogame discourse which is mostly inconsequential and almost always abysmal to the point where goo-goo-ga-ga is a decent take.)
