Aggression serves no purpose. Insults, lack of restraint, denigration, wanting to punish others, and violence have serious consequences. intransigence has serious consequences on both the left and the right; it is the best way to loose elections. It creates enemies. Improving the world does not mean accusing others. We need more tolerance on both the left and the right. We must live together and stop fighting over every little thing. We must try to understand different points of view. We must support those who seek to unite, not those who seek to divide, those who are against others. We must commit to projects that bring us together. Treating part of the population as deplorable, toothless, attacking a farmer or a driver because they are not green enough, treating people as undeserving or lazy, all of this is disrespectful and only serves to divide people. The victims of these insults are not going to support the projects of those who insulted them. They will lose sight of the big picture because of a detail. JD Vance, the current vice president of the United States, comes from a modest family and was a long-time left-wing activist. He wrote a book called Hillbilly Elegy to defend the forgotten people of the republic. Unfortunately, after being rejected by some people, he was hurt enough to become a fierce opponent of the left. How many people like him have decided they will never vote green again because, for example, farmers are called polluters? How many retired people will no longer vote left because they were called fascists on the pretext that 60% of retired people voted for Sarkozy? How many young people have been called “snowflakes” for minor reasons? How many parents are criticized for their parenting? Insults are too quick to fly. If someone thinks differently, as long as it’s not hateful, it’s not a problem. We mustn’t exclude others because of every difference. In a democracy, everyone has freedom of expression and opinion. We must seek out what unites…
