Reflecting on #IrevArg it seems like there's still a lot of rust in the backs, but there were a couple of moments when it looked like they were in good shape. Goodman's influence will take a while to bed in, as did his predecessors.
Interesting player ratings. The inconsistent lineout, high penalty count & lack of ability to get over the gainline despite all the possession, albeit against robust Argentinian defence are concerns that must be addressed. #IREVARG
Not that it remotely fully explains away the second half performance but last night was the second game in a row where one of our substitute forwards has gone off injured within minutes of going on. In games where the pack is already struggling it really hasn't helped.

🟢Ireland for sure dodged a bullet last night. Once again it's a mystery how one of the most disciplined teams in rugby turned into one of the worst disciplined outfits going. So many silly penalties & let's be honest, very lucky that Bealham didn't get red
Competitive right to full time made it good game to be at. Could dwell on lots of issues in our game but sometimes you just got to enjoy the occasion and win #IREvARG

Missed Ireland live, but just finished watching it. My thoughts:
1st quarter: Excellent all-round - in attack especially.
2nd Q: Excellent defence, if poor discipline.
3rd Q: Much scrappier, poor try to concede.
4th Q: Lots of effort but standard of carry and rucking really dropped.
