#OTD (Mon, Jul 17) 1911 at #IslandLake, #AlgonquinPark: "Jim, Mr. Godda & I went to Island Lake to fight fire. Found first island burnt over. Also, a fire on shore. Fighting fire until nightfall where a nice rain commenced to fall. We remained at Island Lake overnight." @nichecanada.bsky.social
