What should more people understand
about reading instruction?
Our instructional and assessment practices reflect our theories of how reading develops and can be tested. This is why it's important to understand some of the basic experimental research on reading from cognitive science and neuroscience. Examining the "why" behind our practices helps us make better decisions.
