#IRT #ItemResponseTheory people... It seems ontologically odd to me to have ability on the logit scale. I mean, does anyone conceptualise ability in some task as really ranging from -∞ to +∞? Do we not think there's at least some floor (i.e., you can't do any difficulty item)?
