Because of the neglect from his late father, aka, his only immediate family he had, he was driven to madness and villainy. And thus he sought to find his sister Amber. Though he succeeded, she didn't recognize him at all. As a result, he brainwashed her into staying by his side, which resulted in him being on the run until he was hired by Count Arnfried to become his loyal assistant in mechanics. He's the first recurring baddie that the Inazuma Chameleons fights. [Later in the Viralium Chronicles story...] After Amber broke free of his mind control, he naturally went mad cuz he thought he lost her again. But after being defeated by her, he spent time reflecting after seeing the Hoshi bros.'s bond time and time again. He then decides to defect from the Count to be with his sister much to her discomfort. But it's to learn what a sibling bond is truly like and to earn Amber's forgiveness. While cunning, unpleasant, and a control freak unless it's with Amber or Orque, he eventually comes around to respect and care for the whole crew. Serves as the crew's engineer and mechanic.
