Jazz Messengers의 연주를 바탕으로 한 재즈 편곡과 클래식 레퍼토리가 한 세트리스트 안에 배치되면서, 재즈 클럽과 클래식 공연장의 매력을 동시에 느낄 수 있는 흐름을 계획한 것이 특징이다. 특히 박기영의 대표 히트곡들이 재즈 버전으로 재편곡돼 관객과 만난다. 익숙한 멜로디에 재즈 특유의 리듬과 화성을 입혀, 이미 알고 있던 노래를 다른 질감으로 접하게 하는 시도가 포함됐다. 여기에 대중에게 친숙한 클래식 곡들도 선곡됐다. 박기영은 이러한 곡들을 자신의 음색과 해석을 더해 부르며, 클래식 원곡의 선율을 유지하면서도 보컬리스트로서의 개성을 드러내는 방향으로 무대를 준비하고 있다. 이번 공연에는 그동안 다양한 장르를 소화해 온 박기영의 이력이 자연스럽게 녹아든다. 폭넓은 음악 스타일을 소화해 온 만큼 재즈와 클래식, 그리고 대중가요를 잇는 다리 역할을 하겠다는 의지가 공연 전체 구성에 반영됐다. 관객층도 넓게 염두에 뒀다. 재즈와 클래식에 익숙한 음악 애호가는 물론, 박기영의 히트곡을 통해 그를 기억하는 대중이 함께 즐길 수 있도록 세트리스트가 짜여, 세대 차이를 줄이는 선택이 이뤄졌다. 박기영은 이번 무대에서 한층 성숙해진 음악적 색채와 라이브 보컬리스트로서의 면모를 보여줄 계획이다. 그동안 축적해 온 섬세한 감성 표현과 장르 소화력을 한 공연 안에 담아, 자신의 음악 세계를 입체적으로 드러내는 자리가 될 전망이다. 공연은 28일 오후 7시 KBS 울산홀에서 진행되며, 예매는 멜론티켓을 통해 할 수 있다.
