初日に訪れた九份、主人が二十年ほど前に訪れた時は、ほぼ日本語は聞こえなかったらしいけれど、この日は半分近くが「日本人？」な九份でした笑

It's a dark, damp, claustrophobic scene. We're in an alley or narrow pedestrianised street lined with small shops and stalls set out from them selling all manner of things: purses, bags, tourist souvenirs, food, etc. Awnings and umbrellas up from the people around dim the scene and we can see puddles on the paved ground, while lights in some of the stalls we can see make it seem later in the day than it is. Red paper lanterns hang in strings and the signs we can see are all written in Chinese characters.
