#VinnieColletta got his start in comics in the 1950's on romance books, where he originally penciled & inked his work before focusing on inking. At one point, he even shared a NJ studio with legendary inker #JoeSinnott, who noted even then Colletta would cut corners despite his talent.
#JoeSinnott retired from comic books to ink the #AmazingSpider-Man newspaper strip, which he did from 1992 to the series end on Mar. 22nd, 2019. He would die the next year June 25h, 2020 at the age of 93.
By the 1970's, #JoeSinnott was #Marvel's go to inker, working with pencilers such as #JackKirby, #NealAdams, #GilKane, #JimSternako & #JohnByrne. It was so ingrained at the company that was said you weren't a 'Marvel Guy' until Sinnott inked your pencils.

After graduating from the Cartoonist School, #JoeSinnott went to work for #AtlasComics (the future #Marvel) after #StanLee was impressed with Sinnot's work for #TomGill's studio. His first work would be "The Man Who Wouldn't Die", appearing in #ApacheKid #8 (Sept. 1951).
While attended the #Cartoonist&IllustratorsSchool on the G.I. Bill, #JoeSinnott would have his first published work appear in #Mopsy #12 (Sept. 1950). It would be the start of a brilliant career.
