(For context Simon was friend and was featured on a Nationwide report in 1975. I was able to get a copy from the BBC Archive but sadly he died before it arrived. He would have f**king roared when he heard that)

I was an audience guest many times when #JohnStapleton presented @itvx.com The Time,The Place .. it was an era when newspaper men always carried the aroma of cigarettes .. such an incisive interviewer who made you feel comfortable enough to talk about yourself without fear in front of a camera
