A vertically narrow rectangular still life painting of fruits and vegetables on a wood or stone surface. At left on a plate is a cardoon in front of a pear. In front of the plate, sitting directly on the surface, is a slice of lemon or orange and a couple of carrots with fronts still attached. At right is fruit (oranges?) in a bowl lined with a white cloth that spills out from the bowl onto the table. The cloth is edged with semi-circles of lace. There are little white flowers on stems sprinkled through the vegetable and fruits.

A painting of a crowned, enthroned Madonna in a pink gown with a blue cloak, held off her shoulders by an angel on either side. She holds her bared left breast in her left hand, squirting milk at a kneeling tonsured male figure in white at the painting's lower left. (Beyond him, the faces of 4 other kneeling men are visible.) With her right hand, the Madonna holds a haloed baby Jesus on her lap, who nearly falls off as He reaches for a stalk of lily held by one of the four nuns kneeling at the painting's bottom right corner. At the bottom center of the artwork are some carpeted steps leading up to the throne. Between the tonsured male figure at left and the closest kneeling nun at right are a crozier at the side of the man, and a closed black book with two clasps at the nun's side.

A tearful young woman in a purple or red gown with long curly hair sitting with a skull in her lap, cradled by her right hand. Her left elbow rests on a table or ledge; she holds her face with her left hand. On the ledge is an ointment jar; beyond the ledge is a tall cross in a landscape, backlit with orange light.
