A vertically narrow rectangular still life painting of fruits and vegetables on a wood or stone surface. At left on a plate is a cardoon in front of a pear. In front of the plate, sitting directly on the surface, is a slice of lemon or orange and a couple of carrots with fronts still attached. At right is fruit (oranges?) in a bowl lined with a white cloth that spills out from the bowl onto the table. The cloth is edged with semi-circles of lace. There are little white flowers on stems sprinkled through the vegetable and fruits.
