Quarter moon
Caught among the alders' branches.
A blackbird's song
Sets us both free.

A twisted and broken blackthorn (may) tree felled by a violent storm three years ago. She lies low across shattered fencing and rusted barbed wire. She is still beautiful and is precious to me in all she is and brings. Each spring, she fills her universe with the most wonderful blossom.
Because... Because
of so many things.
But mainly because
there are times
we need the gentle
reminder that even
fallen trees
can blossom.
