A decorated street in Chipiona. Either side are low level, white painted buildings. On the floor are rosemary and other green leaves twigs. Strewn between all the buildings are white boas. At the very front, and between the first two buildings, is a brown sash with the words, in upper case, and in white, "BENDITA TU ERES. CARMEN ENTRE TODAS LAS MUJERES", which translates to "BLESSED ARE YOU CARMEN AMONG ALL WOMEN".
July 16th, in Chipiona, is Virgen del Carmen day, the patron saint of sailors. We stopped for lunch in (what we call) the "blue square" (actually the Parroquia De Nuestra Señora De La O) and walked back via one of the prettily decorated streets. #Chipiona #VirgenDelCarmen #July16th
