This is the front of “the design” of a small larch bonsai…with many lower limbs killed by frost last year, the crown is also stunted a bit from previous year’s growth.

Here are a few shots from today…at the end of the growing season. Some larches are turning yellow a bit already…not this one.

My lack of a vision for the tree’s future was met with an even more overwhelming force of nature in the form of a hard winter freeze.
