The piece was first drawn with pencils. The KHI Sora is a redraw homage of the original game's opening FMV. I used blue instead of green for two reasons. The first one: Sora's main station pillar uses blue as the dominant color. Two is about the background design: The background is split into three areas. The top portion is based on the Awakening's dark "sky." The middle is the blue sky, whcih can be either the Destiny Islands or the Final World (thus the second reason). These two portions were done with water color paint. The bottom background section is separate from the top two given KHIV is set in unreality. Both Sora's were colored using color pencils (although I might have also used some watercolor for KHIV Sora's sleeves). KHIV Sora's hair was drawn using the announcement trailer, the 2025 screenshots and Tetsuya Nomura's 20th anniversary illustration as references. Also, thank you Shiro Amano for your cover art for the first KHI manga volume. It helped with KHIV Sora's expression, specifically the mouth. I may have also used a little ink outside the signature and date. #noAI #KingdomHearts #MarchCaprice #MarchCaprice2026 #traditionalart #pencildrawing #colorpencils #watercolorpaint #KingdomHeartsfanart
