WIP extract book 2 of 6 SlenderWolf In With the In Crowd Chapter 6 Laissez Faire Satisfied that she’s made an impact by flaunting her beauty in intimidatory style, she tersely greets HayWire then Conning. “Hello HayWire, Hello Conning.” Sheepishly, HayWire’s head dips as he appears to acquire a great interest in the pattern on the floorboards. He says nothing. “Oh Hello,” says Conning, “We’ve not met have we? But I’ve seen you here before?” BarbieQ raises herself to her full height. At about 1 metre 75 she’s fractionally taller than both Conning and HayWire. “I’m BarbieQ,” she says superciliously, “I’m one of the receptionists here, and I live in the apartment opposite HayWire. I saw both of you this morning, and I know what you’re doing!” Not waiting for either of them to reply BarbieQ, in deliberate, calculated fashion, walks off like a strutting peacock leaving the Great Hall by the door to the Art Corridor, having effectively walked in a straight line from the one side of the hall to the other. “Ignore her HayWire, some girls get jealous easily, she doesn’t know what she’s doing. I can hold your hand?” Hesitant for no more than half a second, HayWire wants to be comforted and willingly offers his hand, gripping Conning’s firmly with a little childish excess, revealing a genuine sense of distress. “She can’t hurt you, I won’t let anybody ever hurt you again.” Conning (Manx, pronounced KonYing, meaning bunny) - A watercolour painting of an attractive young girl aged 17. She has gorgeous long medium ash brown hair and her eyes are dark chestnut brown. Her face has a picture perfect smile revealing lovely white teeth. She is wearing a powerful yellow crop top dance outfit over a curvaceous body.
