Caryatids or Karyatids are common in ancient Greek construction. Female figures used as support columns. These two are on the 34th Street side of Macy's in New York City. The most famous Karyatids stood at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Those are currently held as part of the Elgin Marbles collection in the British Museum.
