💙📚 Months before her execution in 1542, she wrote to Thomas Culpeper, confessing how "my heart doth die to think what fortune I have that I cannot always be in your company."
It was used as evidence against her.

Cromwell was condemned to death without trial. He was beheaded on #TowerHill, the same day Henry married his fifth wife, #KatherineHoward. Cromwell recited a prayer and made a speech on the scaffold. 5/

King Henry VIII married Katherine Howard at Oatlands Palace in Surrey, with the Bishop of London, Edmund Bonner presiding over the ceremony.
The bride was 17 years of age and the groom was 49 years of age.
