Start small. Microscopic.
Writers: aim for a few sentences. Re-read old work.
Artists: draw a thumbnail. Trace old pictures.
Give yourself 5 minutes to do a creative thing.
If it’s terrible that’s okay.
Give yourself grace.

I’m starting zoom sprints, too. We’re doing them in April and then reassess. Intentionally trying to connect with neurodiverse #kidlit creators.

Also in case you don’t know what body doubling is, it is when you ask a person to sit with you while you do a task.
Just knowing they are there while I’m working helps me stay focused. Even when it is hard. Or if I’m stuck. It works for my brain!
