Did a Grand Rounds talk for CU Anschutz today and I forgot what it felt like to feel GIDDY after a talk because the response was so good. Great questions, excited collaboration ideas, I feel hopeful for #KidneyCrew and #TeamPlacenta.

In a week that's been ROUGH for science, this was so needed.

Of concern not to most of you but a few of you: I am not at the APS Sex Differences Conference this weekend, and I will not be at ASN Kidney Week in two weeks.

My face is on some stuff for the latter because I helped plan Early Career stuff, but you won't see my face in person. #KidneyCrew

The Hebert Lab got its first student today! She's an undergrad doing a year-long thesis project and I'm so excited to get to work with her. Now we are three in the lab! :) #TeamPlacenta #KidneyCrew

My aunt has been on the kidney transplant list at several centers for years. She got a kidney a couple years ago but it didn't power on. Back on the list. Finally got the call yesterday morning, flew from ND to PA all day, got the kidney last night. Please think positive thoughts. <3 #KidneyCrew
