This is a color portrait photograph of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan taken from across the pond in Central Park. The foreground is the calm pond and the reflection of the hotel, park, and Manhattan skyline, while the background is its opposite and split 50/50 in the frame. In the top center of the frame is the iconic hotel. It is a roughly 20 story hotel nearly, but not quite, as wide and it is tall. The stone facade is a very very light tan, borderline off-white and the roof is reminiscent of one you might find in Paris with a green color cast , small points on each side and rooms/windows built into the sloped roof. Each point or quasi spire has a flagpole on top with the US flag. Large leafless trees are in front oft of the hotel in Central Park on the shoreline of the pond--eight of them. On the left a walkway juts out into the point and four people sit on a park bench while three additional folks are walking up the path towards the hotel--their backs are to the camera/. The path is in a C shape coming out of the left Fram and circling behind a small grass and shrub covered hill. On the pond side of the path are two large leafless bushes. The branches of a tree are also visible sticking out into the frame on the top left. Next to and behind the hotel are skyscrapers of various sizes shapes and colors. At least six are visible on the left of the hotel, one behind that goes beyond the top of the frame, and at least five on the right. The pond itself shows a slightly rippled versions of the scene but with reasonably good clarity. There are several ducks close to shore by the path floating serenely across the surface. Above the skyscrapers is a clear and pale blue sky.
