Our garden cleaned and mulched for winter.
The #KnightGarden is ready for its long winter nap. I pruned the raspberries, cleaned up the final weeds, and put down more straw and mulch. We both have earned a rest from the gardening labors.

Prepping herbs from the #KnightGarden to dry for restocking my Italian seasonings blend. I dried basil earlier in the summer.

Irish Spring soap in bags to deter deer from the garden
Over lunch, my wife and I were in the #KnightGarden and found the soil has warmed enough to uncover our asparagus. They are still very pale because of the straw covering but will green up now. We also added our bags of Irish Spring soap to keep the deer away from the asparagus bed.
Beautiful weather this weekend means more work in the #KnightGarden. Thinned and tied up the blackberry canes, mulched my garden paths, and added water level gauges to my rain barrels. Next up, a lot of weeding and clean up.
The #KnightGarden is ready for its long winter nap. After clearing it, I enjoyed a last fire for the year while burning the pruned raspberry canes.
