Gool Peran Lowen (Happy St. Piran's Day) Very important day for Cornish folks! Took the photograph last summer, on the walk down for a swim at Kynance Cove. It shows Cornwall at its best in my eyes...mysterious and beautiful. Yes the sunshine version is also wonderful! Kynance is a fabulous cove far south on the Lizard Peninsula and is reached by a steep cliff track down. Have strong Cornish genes, descending from miners, traders, a wise woman and a female entrepreneur living by her wits in old age once her sons had emigrated. It is the only place in the world where I am truly at peace. The image shows the view from the top of a cliff out to sea which is so misty that the pale grey-turquoise sea blends with the sky. Rock formations stretch out to sea and the cliff edge under my feet (trainers not in view) have patches of orange lichen and some sea thrift.
