Repairs to the #road at #Jökulsá in #Lón, which was badly damaged in heavy #rain over the weekend, have been completed for now - barely 48 hours later. Traffic has been #reopened on the ring road (Route 1) between #Höfn and #Djúpivogur.

#Iceland's Ring #Road (Route 1) at #Jökulsá in #Lón is closed until tomorrow due to #water #damage. A 50-metre section of the road collapsed and one of two protective embankments that direct the water under the #bridge broke apart over about 100 metres.
