In 1910 Blanche Stuart Scott became the 2nd woman, after Alice Huyler Ramsey, to drive an automobile across the U. S. driving westwards from New York City to San Francisco, CA.

The trip was sponsored by the Willys-Overland Company & the car was named the “Lady Overland.”
