The main focus is on Yusaku Godai, a college student living in Maison Ikkoku, and Kyoko Otonashi, the house manager. I love it so much, but sometimes the romantic tension of the comedy actually stresses me out!
The front cover of volume 1 of One Piece, by Eiichiro Oda. This is an awesome series. It's long, but that honestly just means that you get to spend so much more time with these awesome characters in the incredible world. It is a fantasy pirate adventure story, focused on Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, known as the Strawhats. There is a really great mix of comedy and drama, and the world just feels more and more expansive the farther you go in the story.
The front cover to volume 1 of Urusei Yatsura, by Rumiko Takahashi. This is a science fiction comedy, and it's amazing! There isn't much space travel, because we mostly see the aliens coming to Earth! The main focus is on Ataru Moroboshi, a human, and Lum, an alien oni. The two have a rather fraught romantic relationship, but the series is filled out with a bunch of other wacky characters and endlessly zany situations. Also, there is the ghost girl chapter that WILL make you cry. It just will.
