The spongey ice matches the cloud covered sky. Sunrise temperature shows the open water along the shore has refrozen. Seems like a step back toward winter. But new signs of spring appear each day. First flock of White Pelicans seen nearby yesterday #LakeMilton #sunrise2026

The sky lights slowly as Helios rises. Then all at once it is too bright to behold. The radiant brilliance pours over the edge of a tree line or cloud bank or building and time begins. We are in for a long day. In a good way. Tomorrow is Summer Solstice #LakeMilton #sunrise2025
Day 84/365 The waning crescent moon rising before the sun caught my eye this morning. In Norse mythology Sun and Moon are Sol and Mani - twin siblings that race across the sky. Mani had a 30 minute head start. Sol’s bright chariot will seem to catch up as daylight brightens #LakeMilton #sunrise2025
