The soldier pulls the trigger. The bullet going through the chest of L’da’s father. His blood spraying behind him across her face as she looks in shock and horror.

L’da’s father clutches the entry wound before falling to his face, dead. The soldier signaling to his subordinates to attack as L’da’s mother grabs her and carries her hopefully to safety.

Page 1 L'da standing alone in Ultima Thule. All the Scions are gone and she's by herself. A feeling so familiar to her.

Page2 As she thinks back on her life she remembers how alone she was as a child in Kugane. She finds it familiar, like an old friend, but she hates this about herself. She knows she isn't that little girl anymore.

Page 3 L'da in tears, feeling the hearts and hopes of all her friends from her life with her in spirit, or maybe they are actually there. So no matter what she knows she isn't alone.

Page 4 L'da feeling the burden heavy on her, but she has the strength to walk on. She knows she can bear the burden for all these worlds as she continues up the path the Twins have made for her.

A short comic project inspired by @shenpai.gay of L'da going through "The Walk" in Endwalker. SPOILERS obviously.

Lore building since L'da grew up alone so she's used to it, and realizes now how much she actually hates that about herself.

L'da laying in Venat's lap. Her hair is being pet looking up at her lovingly. Despite being 26 this is the first time L'da felt like a proper kid looking up at her "mother" in a sense. A role Venat herself found surprising but fitting given L'da culture and how she guided her as Hydaelyn. Despite being in the past she took to the role with pride, for her champion, her friend, and maybe the closest she has to a "daughter"

L'da lost her mother at a young age, this much you know, but she considered Venat like a mother as Hydaelyn granting that blessing and guiding her. A kindred spirit indeed. Enjoying her time with a "mother" while in Elpis is a treasured memory, nearly brought her to tears.

In an encounter with a creature called a Dynamis Drinker, L'da wound up absorbing a lot of that energy by killing it resulting in her hair growing longer and her eyes glowing. She's adjusting.

Sphene spending time with L'da expressing her happiness that L'da is enjoying Solution Nine.

L'da expressing how big Solution Nine is compared to her hometown and mentioning casually she lived under a bridge and the bridges here are much nicer and she'd have loved living under one of them.

Sphene is happy to hear about L'da positive endorsement of Solution Nine's bridges, not realizing the extent of what she was just told.

It suddenly dawn on Sphene that her friend just nonchalantly revealed being homeless growing up, unsure how to process this.

I've mentioned L'da was homeless as a child and lived under a bridge in Kugane since she had no other options. As an adult she's casual about sharing this to much confusion of others. Sphene learning this fact about her friend for the first time.
