6. KILLER ON THE ROAD by Stephen Graham Jones. And no, it’s not the only SGJ on my list. Technically it’s a rerelease but I was completely taken with this story. We don’t get a good highway horror every day. A teen running away from home becomes the target of a shapeshifting trucker. #LibFaves2025

Dino Poet book cover.

Day 4 - DINO POETRY - I randomly encountered Dino Poetry on a new shelf at the local library. What a gem! Especially if an ELA teacher, a creative writing teacher, etc. Humor. Poetry examples. Writing facts. #LibFaves2025

Day 3- THE SCAMMER -Tiffany D. Jackson books elicit strong emotions. This one made me SO frustrated &angry that more people weren’t stepping in. But her books also tend to shed a light on issues people aren’t addressing. - Great book for HS &up about early college kids. Audio was good. #LibFaves2025

Low Threshold Book Club 2025:

We read a whopping 3 books!
1: A topical 🇺🇸 book on feminism. We could not stand the writing. Abandoned.
2: A romantasy. They loved it, I struggled. Took months to synch, months to recover.
3: Winner! The gorey murder novel Victorian Psycho. Finally!

8. THE SALVAGE by Anbara Salam. A slow-burn horror set in the 60’s in a small seaside Scottish town. Marta is hired as a diver to investigate a shipwreck. But after that first dive, she becomes convinced she’s being followed by a ghost. Eerie, atmospheric, and perfect for cold nights. #LibFaves2025
