Day 344… will it be tonight? Some subtle changes this evening make me think Lily is either very early in Stage One labour, or they the foal was moving around… which in itself may indicate labour is looming.

4am #LilysFoal update from the #smallholdingdream & #StillNoBaby©️ but my Ohio-based (very expert) friend who takes first part of the night shift caught her nibbling at her flanks and maybe a small contraction. I just found her lying flat out then stood up and raised her tail.. but just a 💩
So this is NOT #LilysFoal, but her Shetland friend Brandy! Go girls go! #smallholdingdream
Update on #LilysFoal: it isn’t here yet! But we have cookies in stock for a likely night call for the vet, and are going to get out the spare coffee machine and put it in the adjacent stable to Lily (with table and chairs cunningly placed under the horse solarium - actually two patio heaters 😂)
