Today a 40-year old dream came to fruition and I finally got to actually ride my very own Fell pony: Lily has been at boarding school since weaning her foal in November being “started” (trained to be ridden) and today I went to collect her and have my first sit on her 😀

Lily had left him sleeping in the sunshine 🤦🏼♀️ so I’d had to bring him in anyway and we decided to introduce bathing after showering Lily off to cool her down.

Baby Hobnob/Hobson has found a halter going on quite challenging and we could only do it when he was very sleepy and relaxed. Have spent several days building up from sniffing the halter to having it put on 👍

Well I think it’s very practical - putting Lily’s udder tracking photos in a Facebook album so I can see them next to each other easily 😂 and I’ve only had one friend ask to be blocked from the album…!
