She is currently laid at my feet like a dog… time for me to head to bed and let my US & Aussie friends kindly take the strain for a few hours. I’m really tired - obviously am checking cameras if I wake up at night and specifically at 0430ish (and hubby looks at 0530). #smallholdingdream #LilysBaby

Whilst #LilysBaby carries on cooking, she gets 2 small meals a day as the foal uses up so much room in her abdo. The other horses at #smallholdingdream get one. Chip’s strip-grazed track has reached where she can see Lily and she is Not Happy about thus discrimination 😂

Still no baby - though TBF she is only day 334 (most likely gestation is 340 +/- 5) We thought she was close at the weekend, tho. She was groaning & snoring whilst flat out (prob dreaming) at about 1am, I asked my friend in Ohio for her expert opinion!

Still no baby at the #smallholdingdream and unless Lily pops the foal out before midnight I’m
not getting a foal shaped birthday present!
Lily is however running swiftly when she things there’s food going: her she is this afternoon when she thought her tea was about to arrive 😂 #LilysBaby

Well I think it’s very practical - putting Lily’s udder tracking photos in a Facebook album so I can see them next to each other easily 😂 and I’ve only had one friend ask to be blocked from the album…!

Latest thing to greet o er as I gather my Foaling Kit: what kind of string should I have “to tie up placenta if it is half in & half out” (to stop the mare standing on it), and whether a horse placenta will fit in a normal bucket for vet to check post delivery. Will baling twine do? #LilysBaby
