Linus Torvalds publica Linux 7.0-rc2 con más cambios de lo habitual y expresa su descontento por el volumen de parches Linus Torvalds ha lanzado la segunda versión candidata (RC2) del kernel Linux 7.0, una actualización que llega tras la RC1 y que se centra principalmente en corregir errores y estabilizar el código después de la ventana de fusión de nuevas funciones. Aunque las RC suelen ser pequeñas y enfocadas en limpieza, esta RC2 ha resultado inusualmente grande en número de commits no fusionados, lo que ha generado cierta inquietud. Torvalds ha comentado abiertamente que no está especialmente satisfecho con su tamaño, aunque lo atribuye probablemente a 'ruido de calendario' o al retraso de una semana en el ciclo anterior (Linux 6.19), que pudo acumular cambios pendientes.
