Linaria dalmatica, dalmatian snapdragon. Blurry dark green background, a flwoering spike extending toward us, showing several flowers from bud to fully open. The buds look a bit pouty and are yellowish/pinkish/green. The open flowers have classic snapdragon form, pale yellow hood, fused lips and nectar spur, intense yellow with a blotch of orange on the crest of the labellum.

Linaria dalmatica, dalmatian snapdragon. A spike of several buds and flowers, from the side. I was disappointed to learn that this is an invasive species in the area, it's eminently well suited to colonising for instance scree and recent landslides, doing well in rock rubble and xeric conditions.
