Inflorescência (glomérulo) de Lepeostegeres sp. (Fam Loranthaceae). As flores tenhem cálice e corola reduzidas, e longos estames e estilos de cor vermelha intensa, e entom a inflorescência parece um pompom vermelho.

Foto um pouco a contraluz das copas de várias árvores num bosque secundário sobre serpentinites em Sabah. Na parte central da imagem percebe-se umha inflorescência de Lepeostegeres sp. a uns 10 metros por riba do solo.

Estas flores tam chulas som dum tipo de #visgo que há na ilha de Bornéu (género Lepeostegeres, família #Loranthaceae). Estas plantas medram nas ramas doutras árvores, às que parasitam roubando seiva bruta. Dades visto a flor vermelha na segunda foto? Pois aí arriba medram!
