30. Fioro Enwynn
A high born girl faces near death and reaches out to 'something' to save her, ends up being the lone survivor. High INT low WIS, she was the diplomat of her group. She could be spoiled and hypocritical, but she could be fiercely loyal #Lorevember

After thousands of years, she took a breath of Argemian air again. Lost she was in magical stasis, within the corpse of the giant that ate her. She remembers her fleet being destroyed, the screams of her people.

Even in the silence of the still ocean night, she could hear... 1/

Moon
In the light of certain moon phases, things get even stranger in the Quiet Lands. Novice Sanctioned are advised against hunting on these nights, and long term expeditions generally plan around hunkering down for a night to try and weather the 'storm' that accompanies. The monsters and horrors of the snowy wastes seem to be amplified by the moon's cycles. Every 3 months, when the moon becomes full, only the most experienced of Sanctioned are permitted to venture beyond. Many a veteran has met their match on these fateful nights, and countless more have been left irrevocably marked by the danger. Few however share tales of something else. Over those three nights of full moon, some feel a guiding, protective presence. Even the Bonded describe this feeling as new, and the fylgja who can speak do not recognize this unfamiliar patron. A common report from those spared by the grace of this unknown being or beings is that of a remarkable pair of horns or antlers. Despite this, it is also described as remarkably not cervine or bovine. Research has been attempted into the matter, but no expedition with the intention of discovering this guardian has ever witnessed it, seeming forever elusive.

This was a fun one, a neat little hint to dig at something deeper later. This was a fun project, a nice month to keep up with.

Master
Those who walk the path of the Untamed and live to grow old are universally revered even outside of their fellows partaking in the Chained Gods power. They are frequently covered head to claw in scars, sometimes even missing whole limbs from their years of service. When it is finally decided, often against their will, that they are no longer field ready, these masters of harnessing the raw power of nearly unrestrained bestial fury find few walks of life still appealing to them. Commonly they will turn to mentoring new Untamed, or serving as celebrity bodyguards. Some never return to working, instead living out their days on the spoils won at heavy cost researching and protecting the Drynn from the Quiet Lands

Lord Magus Hel'rout Kidira teaches two mage apprentices, Obelisk Moyo'ven and Linn Moorbound on how to focus their magic into a "bolt" shape. These small bolts are efficient ranged attacks for mages.

Some mage principles are transferrable between the different mage types. 1/

Natural Disaster
One late summer day, a major earthquake devastated a fort on the eastern continent and sent the garrison into turmoil. Amidst accounting for the wounded, making sure ammunition stockpiles wouldn't prove hazardous and assessing the damage to the walls, one Drynn thought to send a message back to the west. He carefully took his time, preparing the ritual to cast his warning across the seas. It landed just in time, an attentive sage hearing his call. She sprung into action, urging the Mayor to evacuate the seaside city. They listened to their advisor, and quickly the call to leave was being spread through the streets. It was thanks to the insightfulness of one soldier, and the initiative of the communications attendant, many lives were saved from the disaster.

Wow didn't think I'd have kept up this long. Also listening to Fire & Flame which very much isn't a natural disaster, but still a lovely and minorly tear jerking song

At the top left, the text reads "Natural Disaster" Two figures stand in a completely white and snow blanketed landscape. They are wrapped in cloaks with fur rims around the hood. They're looking down into a valley and see the remnants of a town buried in snow. Only a lone tower stands amongst entombed and shattered buildings. The twin suns hang in the sky but are miniscule and far.

The worries were confirmed to be reality. In one of the hardest of storms, in the coldest of cold cycles, a town had bee completely destroyed in the night. Heavy snowfall combined with an avalanche in the pitch black darkness. Like that thousands of lives were gone. 1/

#Lorevember Day 28 – Natural Disaster
Around 200 p.M. a mighty shockwave shook the continent Sarinkhet and disaster struck. A powerful tidal wave comparable to those people have seen at the founding of Iseonia hit the entire coastal region of Sarinkhet around the Gulf of Sarinkhet.

Riot
In the modern day, most Drynn would say the Union's parliament does a good job of representing them. That is not to say the early days of its formation was without growing pains however. Shortly after its formation, an initial parliament was deemed by many to be far too loaded on Canines to appropriately represent all parties. This lead to public backlash, eventually culminating in a brawl between those (Canine and other) that said it was merely a function of demographic representation and canines higher population, and those who thought that the accessibility of voting heavily influenced the distribution of seats. The brawl took place directly outside the parliament building during the first session, disrupting delegations quite severely.

Actual #Lorevember Day 26 (guess now it is 27) - Exile:

Dwermys Ambrose is one of the first exiled from Eoria for using magic in ways even the mages of the Age of Magic deemed inappropriate. Using necromancy to revive old deans and even skeletal remains of the aspects of the old gods.

Exile
Most punishments the Union hands out are not so severe as to include exile. They believe heavily in rehabilitation, and in the possibility of redemption. Some cases however prove themselves to not be receptive to help or change. In these instances, their case may be brought before courts again, to ascertain if exile to the northern Quiet Lands prison is necessary, or whether there are other methods that may prove effective. Of course, sometimes a perpetrators fellows may sidestep litigation and justice, to dole out their own punishments. One of these cases followed a massacre of Dinosauria civilians, an action led by one hateful corporal and a few troops he swayed to his view. While the troops were sent back to Drynn lands for rehabilitation, officials could never find the corporal. Those who served under him and had not been involved in the killings swore he'd just wandered off into the jungle one day. They of course failed to mention he had done so at bayonet point, hands and feet bound together in shackles. It didn't matter to the soldiers much whether nature or enemy troops did him in. All that mattered to them was the certainty that they saw in his eyes no chance at redemption.

#Lorevember Day 26 Exile
Law in the Union does its best to give everyone a fair shot, and to accommodate the rehabilitation of those who cause other harms. That doesn't stop some cases from never reaching court, as those around you might believe less in your second chance than the Union does

Afterlife
No one can say for certain there is an afterlife, but many still try to peddle off promises of eternal life and happiness following one's unfortunate death. These beliefs are most common among the Sanctioned who travel into the Quiet Lands, and the soldiers serving in the eastern fronts to protect the port colonies. Countering those clinging to faith, are those that cling to the fear. Far more common in the north among the Sanctioned is a belief that those who pass away are in some way transmuted into yet another of the unearthly horrors they must track down and destroy. It is in these fears that many lose hope to this being a hopeless, never ending fight that the Drynn cannot win.

Freedom
Three years after Sanctioned began taking expeditions into the Quiet Lands, a lone Untamed wandered back into End of the Line. Their collar had been shattered, off fighting some unknown horror of the snowy frontier. For them, this was the first time in two years that they felt truly free. For the bystanders of the town, and several of the on break Sanctioned, this was horror made manifest. The rage and power of the Chained God surged through their body, and they were not in control. It took around a dozen people to take down the monster that had been unleashed, and before it was through, several of those who stood up to the loose Untamed and many civilians trying to take cover lay dead or wounded. The wicked beast from beyond the snow snickered and cackled. Even the one that had gotten away had inflicted yet more torment for it to revel in.
