The 1st C fort of Leucarum was built on ground overlooking the River Loughor. The fort was abandoned in the middle of the 2nd C, then possibly reused in the late 3rd-early 4th C. #Loughor #Castle was later built within the earthworks of the #Roman fort. #Archaeology
