Watching #LoveBetweentheLines on Viki after so many YouTube shorts showing #ChengXingxu caught between his two female pals literally chatting over his lap. I'd call him an actor with limited range also but like #Bailu lovely to look at & charming. Enjoyable & for the most part fluffy romance.

Struck by #cdrama romances with scenes designed to show a couple happy together (amusement park, market stroll). Often feel like "time outs" because they're unrelated to narrative/character development. #Lovebetweenthelines doesn't fall into this trap so feels fresh/works better. #amwriting
Keep thinking of my critique partner discussion of the role of weddings in romance. Unnecessary in #LovebetweentheLines because it wouldn't have been true to the characters, we know they're committed, & that commitment is shown (powerfully) in other ways.
Me too, but the last 4 episodes felt like the ML just smiling approvingly at the FL. Contrast with #LoveBetweentheLines ML's speech about the FL not needing anyone's approval to shine. And that very last scene. So, smart, so emotionally satisfying.
Just finished #LoveBetweentheLines. Absolutely sticks the landing. Ending (IMHO) is perfect. Ties all the threads (including subtle visual call backs), remains true to the characters, shows their growth, and promise of continued growth together. Post credits "extra" is a chef's kiss.
Having to actually work! I would love to start #Lovebetweenthelines, but still have too many tasks to complete. It looks so interesting. Have some older series I purchased to catch up on. Waiting until weekend for more eps of #PositivelyYours and #ToMyBelovedThief is killing me.
