It should come as no surprise that I love this book. I've been a fan of Dakota's for many years because she consistently provides relatable characters in stories that flow well, have a ton of heart, and great chemistry and heat. In this case, it's packed with emotions, especially love in all its forms (including friend, general family, parent/child, romantic, environment, and community), and suspense. The mystery of what's going on gets dangerous. That's all I'm sharing. ๐
While the practical jokes ratchet up between Linden (World's Worst Neighbor) Rumsey and Megan (Meg, shortcake) James (Locke), I love how he steps up when something isn't a joke and things go awry. Not that I expected any less from this ornery firefighter.

I loved getting to know these two. They each have some challenges that they battle. I can understand their choices, and I like how things work out.
The banter between siblings and friends is awesome. And the graphic tees are hilarious. It makes it easier to feel like I am part of the story. OK, so, technically, I kind of am as a side character is named after me. Quinn has a good heart and is as inappropriate as I'm likely to be. It's funny. ๐
I read along with the audio book. The narrators are Gregory Salinas and Jill Smith. I like them both so much for these characters.
