A sparrow hawk stood on grass in front of some bushes with a piece of meat in its beak. On the grass there are lots of feathers all around.

Sometimes, you don’t have to travel far to see wildlife. This sparrow hawk was eating its meal on my front lawn. This image is from a few years ago now.

The Light at the End of the Tunnel
It’s actually sunlight reflecting off the surface of Damflask Reservoir. The surrounding trees definitely gave it a more enclosed feeling.
I don’t know if I could have captured it better if I’d planned it.
