#Empresses & #LuZhen are similar stories of palace survival, but they aren’t revenge driven (& the hairstyles for the men are more normal lol)

I hear you. This is why I couldn’t finish #TheRiseofPhoenixes

But just so you know, #LuZhen doesn’t have a BE like that. As a palace drama it’s not on the same level as #Empresses & #Yanxi, but I still enjoyed it. It’s one to try out when you’re in a drama slump perhaps

#LuZhen is more about the process. Like #MingLan & #Yanxi she goes from zero to hero using her intelligence. But the plot requires her to be fallible too, & her naivety makes her prey to far too many schemes she really ought to have seen through. So it’s both exhilarating & exasperating!
