I’ve always been a big Tian Xiwei fan, but I’ve never caught the Zhang Linghe hype - until this show! He really works in this drama

Before then, you might like #PursuitofJade? I know you didn’t like the 2nd half of #Blossom, but it boasts the screenwriter for #LoveLiketheGalaxy & #TheRiseofPhoenixes, so it should have a solid narrative base for the action (& romance)

I personally think you need to ease your way into series like #TheRiseOfPhoenixes or #TheWindBlowsFromLongxi. Especially if you are just starting watching #cdrama.

Both are outstanding dramas that are on another level of storytelling. So, I highly recommend watching them at some point.

The same with shows like #KillMeLoveMe & #TheRiseofPhoenixes - great characters, gripping stories, but I couldn’t stay around for the bitter ending!

If I’m going to be put through grief & suffering, I want a positive resolution 🙂

It’s a great drama, but as soon as it became clear it would end tragically I couldn’t continue - tho I know people who finished & still love it

Btw, #TRoP is a hashtag most people use for #TheRingsofPower (the #LordoftheRings spin off); so it may be worth using the full name for #TheRiseofPhoenixes

About to be so depressed watching a few episodes of #TheRiseofPhoenixes. I will need a chaser of something silly for sure. #CDramas

True! LOVED #AshesofLove, #RomanceofTigerAndRose & #LoveAndRedemption. But really there were so many terrible ones, even with #ZhaoLusi. Now many more are excellent. But I'm glad they stopped the 60-90 episodes; couldn't believe the end of #TheRiseofPhoenixes after all those hours spent. 😭

I'm sorry but I don't think anyone will surpass #ChenKun in #TheRiseOfPhoenixes for me. His entrance still gives me goosebumps. #cdrama

Oh yeah! #TheRiseofPhoenixes (just finished watching) ripped my heart off. But I could understand the BE, given all the toxic/brutal happenings in the story. I loved Chen Kun and Ni Ni in this as well as all the supporting cast and the costumes and set pieces.

I hear you. This is why I couldn’t finish #TheRiseofPhoenixes

But just so you know, #LuZhen doesn’t have a BE like that. As a palace drama it’s not on the same level as #Empresses & #Yanxi, but I still enjoyed it. It’s one to try out when you’re in a drama slump perhaps
